Reflecting on the past year, CEO Hanna Miettinen decribes it as eventful and rewarding:

– It’s been a productive year with a lot going on, and more to come. We’ve increased our delivery volumes, which has also improved profitability, says Miettinen, who stepped into her role in the spring.

Major international projects, including those under the United Nations, have contributed to the company’s momentum.

Export at the gore: Growth from the Nordics and Northern Europe

In 2025, Porkka’s export operations have outperformed the domestic market in Finland. In particular, HoReCa customers in Sweden and Norway have played a key role in navigating a challenging business landscape.

– The Finnish market alone wouldn’t be enough at this point. Exports are a clear growth are for us, Miettinen notes.

Looking ahead to 2026, Miettinen expects moderate yet steady growth, especially within the healthcare and marine sectors, which she sees as highly promising.

– Change is never easy, but we’re making strategic moves for a reason. Our goal is to create a more agile and flexible organization, Miettinen explains.

Sustainability remains a top priority across all operations, not just in product development. Porkka is committed to offering long-lasting, durable refrigeration solutions that meet customers’ expectations for quality and environmental responsibility.

– We don’t do throwaway solutions. Our focus is on longevity and sustainability, Miettinen emphazises.

This year, Porkka published its first-ever sustainability report. A transparent look at the company’s current state and future goals. The aim is to become the leading refrigeration company in Northern Europe in terms of sustainability.

Digitalization is another key driver of progress. Smart features are being developed for both products and internal processes to better integrate with customer systems and environments.

2025 has underscored how essential continuous development, sustainability, and international thinking are to long-term success.

– With responsible professional refrigeration equipment, innovative solutions, and a skilled team, we’re moving forward, even in a cautios market, Miettinen concludes.
