Hanna Miettinen, who recently started as CEO of Festivo-Porkka, emphasizes that all the necessary knowledge and expertise are already within the company. What is needed now are streamlined processes and modern performance indicators.
—I believe in a team-driven approach—I won’t solve any of Porkka’s challenges alone. The expertise is already here. My task is to encourage people to embrace change and use data to support decision-making. I want our operations to be guided by predictive metrics that help us identify areas for improvement and success, Miettinen explains.
Change management is one of her core strengths.
—I believe the staff is capable of transformation. What’s needed are decisions. When there is courage to act, things move forward. The worst situation is being too afraid to make decisions. If the decision turns out wrong, you can always adjust.
Though only a week into her new role, Miettinen is already impressed by the expertise and uniqueness of Porkka’s refrigeration products.
—Porkka is a brand that has developed its own solutions for decades – not copied them. That’s a sign of deep expertise. The products are high-quality, energy-efficient, and designed for essential needs – such as safe storage of food and medicine.
Clear metrics and engaged people – the foundation for export growth

Once internal metrics are in place and the staff is engaged in development, Miettinen sees strong potential for export growth.
—I believe in data-driven leadership. With the right data, people are more willing to step outside their comfort zone and develop. Before joining Festivo-Porkka, Miettinen worked at Ata Gears, a manufacturer of industrial gears for export, where she held positions in both sales and purchasing.
—Festivo-Porkka already has a strong presence in Norway and Sweden, but there is clear growth potential in Central Europe. Of course, logistics costs require us to be extremely efficient – competition in that market is fierce.
