Porkka’s counter line equipment is renewed – now all models with a three-year warranty

A new appearance and design! The look of the counter line equipment will be renewed during the spring.

Porkka is committed to continuous product development, and with decades of experience, its expertise and understanding of industry requirements are top tier.

This spring, the appearance of our counter line equipment will be renewed. At the same time, their energy efficiency will improve. Starting from week 13, all counter line equipment leaving our Kemijärvi factory will feature the new design.

“The renewal of our counter line equipment is a response to market demands. The best part is that these changes also bring significant cost savings, which will have a direct impact on our customers,” says Petri Hakala, Sales Manager for HoReCa products.

The warranty period for all updated counter line equipment is now three years

With the new look, all counter line equipment now comes with a three-year warranty.

Product Manager Pasi Alanne explains that, in addition to the new appearance, significant internal updates have been made to the counter line equipment. Thanks to persistent efforts and component adjustments, we have achieved a solution where both large and small refrigeration cassette-equipped units can be manufactured with fewer components.

To enhance production efficiency, components have been redesigned and consolidated so that the same part can be used across multiple models. This reduces the number of required components and enables, for example, a reduction in the variations of insulated cabinets from six the three.

“This has a direct impact on how many components we need at the assembly station and how much waste is generated. The environment will also benefit,” Alanne states.

Continuous product development

Thanks to ongoing product development, the temperature distribution in refrigerated display cases is now even more consistent. These display cases are commonly seen in gas stations and cafés, where the lower section features a refrigerated storage unit, and the upper section is a display for sandwiches and pastries.

“The temperatures in both sections are now more stable than ever, and our product testing in Hollola has demonstrated significant improvements in the energy efficiency of all furniture models,” Alanne says.

Sales Manager Hakala emphasizes that development is a continuous process, with new additions being planned and tested regularly.

“It’s great that we can respond to our customers’ requests through our product development.”

The renewed counter line equipment will be showcased for the first time at Porkka’s booth at the FastFood, Café & Restaurant Expo (FFCR) in Helsinki Expo and Convention Center on March 19-20, 2025.
