Meet Satu Jara, Porkka’s new Project Coordinator

Satu Jara joined Porkka as a Project Coordinator in September. She brings with her strong experience in customer service, project management and coordination. The organisational skills she has developed in her previous roles, together with her ability to keep multiple things moving at the same time, provide an excellent foundation for her new position.

What particularly attracted Satu to Porkka was the company’s strong Finnish reputation combined with an international and forward-looking approach. Porkka’s image as a skilled and professional company resonated with her, and she was already familiar with Porkka products through her previous experience in the restaurant industry.

As a Project Coordinator, Satu’s role is to support the smooth progress of projects and ensure effective communication between different stakeholders. Her responsibilities include managing schedules and documentation, coordination and customer service. An important part of her work is making sure that the right information reaches the right people at the right time.

In her new role, Satu is particularly looking forward to learning new things, developing ways of working and becoming part of a professional and evolving work community. She is especially motivated by achieving goals, seeing things move forward and delivering successful results. Developing better ways of working is another source of motivation for her. If something is not working, Satu is always keen to find a better solution.

Her former colleagues might describe her as cheerful, organised, approachable and reliable. She keeps her promises and makes sure tasks are completed from start to finish. This creates a strong foundation for smooth and straightforward collaboration with different stakeholders.

Outside work, Satu is busy with family life, switching effortlessly between the roles of cook, driver and laundry manager.

“Every morning requires plenty of coffee, and every day needs some chocolate,” Satu reveals.

Despite the busy everyday routine, she also makes time for friends and enjoying life. Maintaining a good balance between work and leisure is important to her.
